This Planning and Forecast Disclaimer explains the nature, limitations and proper use of forecasts, projections, scenarios, estimates, dashboards, reports and analytical outputs generated by Coffee Business Planning & Analytics or Coffee Farm Planning & Analytics ("the Platform").
The Platform is designed to support coffee farm planning, budgeting, investment analysis, production monitoring, agronomy tracking, financial forecasting, scenario modelling and decision support.
By using any planning, forecasting, reporting, dashboard, scenario, investment analysis or decision-support feature of the Platform, you acknowledge and agree that all outputs are estimates only and are subject to uncertainty.
This Disclaimer applies to all users and organisations that use the Platform, including farm owners, farm managers, cooperatives, farmer organisations, agronomists, consultants, financial institutions, investors, processors, exporters, researchers, NGOs and government agencies.
This Disclaimer applies to all Platform outputs, including but not limited to:
This Disclaimer should be read together with the Platform's Terms of Use, End User Licence Agreement, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and any applicable subscription or service agreement.
If there is any conflict between this Disclaimer and a signed written agreement with the Platform owner, the signed written agreement shall prevail to the extent of the conflict.
The Platform is a planning, analytics and decision-support system. It is not a substitute for professional judgement, farm inspection, agronomic diagnosis, financial advice, accounting advice, investment advice, legal advice, tax advice or insurance advice.
The Platform assists users to organise data, test assumptions, compare scenarios, estimate outcomes and improve decision-making. It does not make decisions on behalf of users.
Any forecast, projection, estimate, recommendation, score, model result or dashboard indicator generated by the Platform is not a guarantee of actual future performance.
Actual farm, financial and business results may differ materially from Platform outputs.
Many Platform outputs depend on assumptions entered, selected or approved by users. These may include expected yields, prices, costs, inflation rates, exchange rates, discount rates, labour costs, input costs, tree population, farm size, coffee variety, management practices and risk assumptions.
If assumptions are unrealistic, incomplete or outdated, the resulting forecasts may be misleading.
Yield and production forecasts are estimates based on available data and assumptions such as tree counts, coffee variety, planting date, tree age, coffee cohort characteristics, farm management practices, spacing, seasonal assessments, historical production and user-entered yield assumptions.
Actual production may be affected by rainfall, drought, floods, pests, diseases, soil fertility, pruning practices, stumping, rehabilitation, fertiliser application, labour quality, post-harvest handling, theft, fire and other factors.
Revenue forecasts depend on estimated production volumes, expected coffee prices, coffee form, quality, market access, buyer terms, exchange rates and sales assumptions.
The Platform does not guarantee that users will obtain any particular price, buyer, market, premium, certification benefit or revenue level.
Operating expenditure forecasts are based on user-entered cost plans, historical costs, activity cost components, seasonal assumptions, labour rates, input prices, farm activities and other planning variables.
Actual operating expenditure may differ due to price changes, labour availability, transport costs, input scarcity, pest outbreaks, emergency activities, inflation, exchange rates and management decisions.
Capital expenditure forecasts are estimates relating to long-term investments such as planting, rehabilitation, irrigation, machinery, processing facilities, drying infrastructure, storage facilities, vehicles, farm structures and equipment.
The Platform does not guarantee the availability, cost, suitability, useful life or performance of any capital asset or investment.
Cash flow forecasts are estimates of expected inflows and outflows over a planning period. They may include revenues, operating costs, capital costs, financing assumptions and opening positions.
Actual cash flows may differ due to timing of harvests, delayed sales, buyer payment delays, credit terms, financing costs, unexpected expenses, crop losses, theft, market volatility and other business risks.
Break-even analysis, Net Present Value, Return on Investment, payback period and related investment measures are calculated using assumptions and data available at the time of analysis.
These outputs are analytical estimates only and should not be treated as investment guarantees or promises of profitability.
Scenario analysis allows users to compare possible outcomes under different assumptions. Scenarios may include baseline, optimistic, pessimistic, investment, rehabilitation, expansion or custom cases.
Scenarios are hypothetical models. They do not predict the future with certainty and should be reviewed against actual farm conditions and professional advice.
Sensitivity analysis illustrates how changes in selected variables may affect outputs. It does not capture all possible risks, interactions or real-world uncertainties.
Users should not assume that sensitivity ranges cover every possible adverse or favourable outcome.
The accuracy and usefulness of Platform outputs depend heavily on the quality, completeness and timeliness of data entered by users.
Incorrect, incomplete, outdated, duplicated or inconsistent data may produce inaccurate forecasts and misleading reports.
Users are responsible for reviewing data, assumptions and outputs before relying on them.
Users should verify that farm records, production data, cost plans, prices, yield assumptions, seasonal assessments and investment inputs are reasonable and up to date.
Where historical farm, production or financial data is missing, the Platform may rely on assumptions, templates, user estimates or incomplete information.
Forecasts based on limited historical information should be treated with additional caution.
The Platform is not responsible for errors caused by incorrect data entry, wrong unit selection, incorrect dates, duplicate records, incomplete forms, wrong farm selection, wrong season selection or incorrect assumptions entered by users.
Coffee farming and coffee investment outcomes are affected by many factors outside the Platform's control, including but not limited to:
The Platform does not control these factors and does not accept responsibility for differences between forecast results and actual outcomes caused by such factors.
The Platform may help users record agronomy activities, soil analysis, crop health issues and production events. However, Platform outputs are not a substitute for advice from a qualified agronomist, extension worker, soil scientist or crop specialist.
The Platform may generate financial forecasts, investment analysis and performance indicators. These outputs do not constitute financial, lending, investment or securities advice.
Users should consult qualified financial professionals before making significant investment, borrowing or financing decisions.
The Platform may organise financial records and produce reports. It does not replace accounting, audit or tax advice.
Users remain responsible for compliance with tax, accounting, audit and statutory reporting obligations.
The Platform does not provide legal advice, contract advice, land advice, regulatory advice or insurance advice.
Users should consult appropriate professionals where legal rights, insurance coverage, land matters, regulatory compliance or contractual obligations are involved.
Users are responsible for:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform owner shall not be liable for losses arising from reliance on forecasts, scenarios, reports, dashboards, recommendations, calculations or analytical outputs generated by the Platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform owner shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive losses, including loss of profit, loss of revenue, crop loss, loss of production, loss of business opportunity, financing loss, market loss, data loss or reputational loss.
All decisions made using Platform outputs remain the responsibility of the user or organisation making the decision.
Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes liability where exclusion is not permitted by applicable law.
The Platform may update forecasting models, calculations, assumptions, templates, algorithms, dashboards and reports over time.
Because models and assumptions may change, the same data may produce different outputs after software updates or methodological improvements.
The Platform owner is not required to maintain old forecasting methodologies, outdated reports or previous calculation models unless expressly agreed in writing.
Forecasting engines, calculation logic, report structures, scenario models, planning templates, performance indicators, algorithms, workflows and analytical methodologies are proprietary intellectual property of the Platform owner.
Users may use outputs generated for their own authorised internal business purposes but do not acquire ownership of the underlying models, algorithms or methodologies.
By using the Platform's planning, forecasting, scenario, dashboard, reporting or analytical features, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted this Planning and Forecast Disclaimer.
If you do not accept this Disclaimer, you should not use the Platform's planning, forecasting, scenario analysis or decision-support features.
